I need God's help
Why do I need God's help?
We need God in our lives because His Word says we were created for Him. If we do not have God in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, we will always feel a spiritual void, whether we are going through a difficult time, very confused, without direction, hurt, wounded, facing an illness, feeling discouraged, or perhaps achieving success and all the things we have dreamed of. But deep down, we will still be dissatisfied. Nothing fills that void, only God.
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. Romans 11:36
What does God do for me?
He loves you.
His love is immense that He gave His life on the cross bearing your sins, He rose again and conquered death to give you eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. John 3:16
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
He cleanses you from sin.
God is Holy, sin separates us from His presence and leads us to eternal damnation, sin is everything we do that goes against His will, to restore that communion we need to be cleansed from sin, He is the only one who can cleanse us from all sin, we need to believe, repent and ask for forgiveness.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
He gives you eternal life as a gift.
Salvation is a gift that He gives us, we don’t need to do anything else, He did everything for you, He only asks you to believe and repent.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life”. John 5:24
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?. John 11:25,26.
Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”. John 14:6
How do I talk to God?
Speak to Him in prayer, with repentance ask Him to cleanse your heart of all your sins and believe with all your heart that Jesus rose from the dead, confess with your mouth that He is your Lord and Savior, open your heart and let Him enter and take control of your life and guide you, ask for everything in the name of Jesus Christ. God is giving you the opportunity right now, don’t leave it for later.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Romans 10:9-11
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1:12
How do I obey God?
When we are born again spiritually, we must obey, we must read the Bible and pray daily, be in communion with Him, and seek a congregation where the Holy Scriptures are faithfully taught.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10
